We at API Parser respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when use our services via https://apiparser.com or the APIParser Google Sheets™ add-on, which allows users to send API requests and import responses into their spreadsheets.
Information We Collect
We may collect and store the following types of information:
Account Information: Your name, email address, and contact details when you sign up or contact us.
Payment Information: Billing details for paid plans are processed securely via Stripe.
Google User Data: If you use our Google Sheets™ add-on, we may access your Google account email to identify your account and facilitate authentication.
We do not access, store, or process any document content from your Google Sheets™ account.
How We Use Information
We use your Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent within our application interface. This includes authentication, displaying usage details, and linking your APIParser account with your Google Sheets™ account.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any background data analysis. We comply with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Third-Party Services
When you use the add-on to query third-party APIs (e.g., crypto data, analytics platforms), any credentials or tokens you provide are used only to fulfill your request and are not shared with us unless you explicitly save them. Your interaction with third-party APIs is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website (if applicable) may use cookies and Google Analytics to measure traffic and user behavior. The Google Sheets add-on itself does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
Data Security
We employ secure practices including:
HTTPS for all API communication
Secure token handling (never stored unless explicitly requested by you)
Minimal permissions required for the add-on to function
Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We retain user data for as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive and you haven’t requested deletion, your data may be retained for up to 3 years. You may request deletion at any time.
Machine Learning and AI Usage
APIParser does not use any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs (including Google Sheets™) to develop, train, or improve generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
All user data accessed through Google Workspace APIs is used solely to provide user-facing features within the APIParser application, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data
APIParser does not sell, rent, or lease Google user data to third parties. We do not share, transfer, or disclose any personally identifiable information or Google user data obtained through Google APIs, except in the following cases:
With your explicit consent: Information may be shared when you have clearly agreed to such sharing.
With service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who support our operations (e.g., cloud infrastructure, data processing, and customer support). These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use the data for purposes specified by APIParser. Our application is hosted on DigitalOcean, which provides secure infrastructure services.
For legal compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or a valid legal process.
We adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, ensuring that Google user data is only used to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the app’s user interface.
